Brrr...It's Getting Cold

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Wow!! I can't believe how fast November is going!! Can you believe that next week it will be Thanksgiving!! Before we know it it will be Christmas and time for winter break!

I hope that everyone had a great weekend, especially if you were fortunate enough to have yesterday off to observe Veteran's Day. I am so grateful for all of the men and women who have and continue to fight for our freedoms every single day! They are so brave and amazing!!!

This year I am trying to work on finding new tools and ways to get my students to become more efficient in solving story problems in math. So my teammates and I sat down and came up with a rubric that we thought would be fun for our students but also help them towards moving towards using more efficient strategies to solve math story problems.

Voter Registration Freebie

Hi Everyone,

I hope that everyone effected by Hurricane Sandy is doing well. We were fortunate that we never lost power or had any damage during the storm, but I know that so many others on the East Coast were not as fortunate. My heart goes out to all of them as they work towards returning to some sort of normalcy.

With the Presidential Election quickly coming to an end, I wanted to share a file that I created to accompany the election unit that my team and I are doing. Our kids are having a blast learning about what it takes to run for any type of office.

Back in the Swing of Things & Freebie

WOW!!! It has been a LONG time since I have done any blogging on this blog. I was devoting more time to my crafting blog, and in all honestly forgot all about this blog. But fear not, that will no longer happen. Of course a new school year is underway for me and I have a wonderful bunch of little gals and gents that make my days go oh so quickly! LOL!

I've finally taken a leap and decided to create products to sell on Teachers Pay Teachers. I LOVE this site and have found some wonderful resources so I figured that it was about time that I gave back to the teaching community as well!

In our county we use the Investigations program and we have just finished our Geometry Unit. I created this file as a quick assessment to see if my kiddos really understood what triangles were and how they looked. I have to say that they did very well, which I never doubted that they would! I would love to get your feedback on this product so that I can work towards creating better products! Thanks a million!
